Best teams in Anime Vanguards (AV)

These two six-unit lineups come from the rendered Teams tab on the official wiki Tier List, captured 2026-10-15. The September source predates v15.0. They are source recommendations, not teams we tested after the anniversary rebalance.

Dragon Sphere team

1. Holy Deceiver (Dark)

The wiki marks the first four as mandatory. It suggests replacing Rogita (Super) when the mode provides enough yen. The ranking of Holy Deceiver, Super Vogito and Rogita (Super 4) assumes Strong Dragon Sphere partners.

Wrath team

1. Wrath (Assault)
2. Iscanur (Pride)
3. Ice Queen (Release)
4. Shinobi Sage (Friendship)
5. Smith John
6. Elastic Captain (Cog 5th)

The first three are marked mandatory. Shinobi Sage, Smith John and Elastic Captain fill element coverage and can be replaced by units with other elements. These are general teams, not single-element tower lineups.

Elemental Towers: matching the tower’s element multiplies damage by 3. A different element is reduced by 80%. Chaos mode can be turned on inside those towers to clear floors faster. v15.0 removed the elemental skill tree and split each tower into a solo version and a 2–4 player version, with floors and levels reset. A team that relied on the old tree does not carry over.

Portals each lock an element, and the damage increase starts at +200%. Worldlines weather buffs or cuts elements by floor. A tournament can ban an element outright. Those three rules matter more than a global top 8 when the mode is not a normal stage.

Holy Deceiver (Dark) is explicit: the tier list says it has to be paired with other Strong Dragon Sphere units. Synergy icons on that page mean the rank assumes another unit. I treat those notes as required pairs, not optional flavor.
